What is ulcer?

Blood and pus oozes painfully from the ulcer residing at the corner of my lip.

If you are going to offer advice on the salt technique, forget it. I tried it once and I want to keep the record that way. Back then, I have this oversized and horribly deep ulcer on my lower lip and my brother decide to do me a 'big' favor and rubbed salt on it. It was an agony! The pang was enough to make me stop talking to my brother till the realization that the salt does pacify the ulcer and the misery caused by the ulcer that daunted me for weeks ended. Too chicken to go through that 10 minutes of torment, tears and numbness again, I am venturing on the long but saner healing method of keeping to a light diet with lots of water and fruits.

I used to be very prone to ulcer attack and the worst attack was by 5 ulcers growing simultaneously in my mouth- 2 resided on my tongue while the other 3 were spread evenly on my lip, left and right side of my mouth. The only food that I consumed during that time was porridge, I dreaded brushing and relied heavily on pen and paper to communicate with others. In my years of experience with ulcer, the tip of the tongue is the worst place in the whole mouth for ulcer to sprout and grow as it brought about great misery and inconvenience in talking and eating. And one of the worst scenario that I went through was the merger of 2 ulcers on my lip. That sure was a big one and took a long time to heal.

Adopting a healthier diet, I'm less susceptible to ulcer attack in the last one year. Just hope that the one on my lip will go away real soon. By the way, do drop me a line if you know a good way to cure ulcer.
