It's rare, in my observation, to see a woman without a bag. One might wonder what exactly is it that gals bring out with them when they leave their home to work/date/holiday/school that they actually requires a bag to keep them.
Well, not in any order of importance, stuff that you'll most probably find in a woman's bag: purse, keys, mobile phone, sanitary pads, cosmestics, hair brush, tissues, pen and a bottle of water. Of course, it's not hard to find a book/magazine, mirror, candy or even aspirin in a woman's bag too.
Personally, I don't own a large number of bags, speaking of which, the number of clothes and shoes that is under my possession is limited... okay, pathetic. That is one of the reason why I'm ever grateful to have a gengerous twin sister, who not only share her clothes with me but also act as my fashion consultant when I have an important date or event. Personally, it's a habit to keep a bottle of water close to me wherever I go and most of my clothes do not have a pocket and for those that have, I wouldn't exactly call them a pocket. They are just fashionable, miserable and hopelessly small bag, trying their best to make a dull skirt/pants pleasing to the eyes. There, my rationale for tugging a bag with me everwhere I go.
There was, however, a day that I went out without a bag. It was a Sabbath and beside the usual stuff, I have pack my Bible and a jacket. Slinging it on my left shoulder, I nearly fall sideway, the bag will plain heavy. I dump the bag onto my bed and run out of the house with just my wallet and mobile phone, allowing myself no chance to repack or tugging a heavy bag with me. My poor guy ended up bringing the Bible, jacket and a bottle of water. =)
Well, back to the question, "What's in a woman bag?", the following items applies too, a man's wallet, a familar-looking-mobile phone and a set of remotely-familar key. There are just too many guys that I know who doesn't bring a bag and conveniently dump their possession into my bag and only claim them just before we bid each other goodbye.
On the flip side, I also know a guy who usually bring his own bag and gentlemanly still offer to carry mine whenever I complain of aching shoulder. A guy, if possible try to stuff my bag into his when we shop...
This one is for him... Thank you, Peng Kong.
